Last wednesday on Marc's day off we went to Babies'R'Us. Wow, We didn't know where to start. We just stood there looking at the vast amount of baby products. So we just started in the middle where the cute baby clothes were. We picked up little pj's all neutral colors like white, yellow and green. The clothes we bought are 0-3mths. and I think that will be the end of picking up that size. I'm thinking of the possibility that the baby could be a little bigger and 0-3mths would just fit or it would only fit for a very short amount of time.
That same day we picked up a bassinet from my brother, I have it all freshened up in our second bedroom. In total Sweetpea has six outfits, all of which are pj's that I draped on the bassinet. I love looking at it, picturing when our baby is finally here wearing the clothes we bought and laying in his or her bassinet. I can't forget to mention Sweetpea's first stuffed animal that grandma has given him/her for Easter. How cute! It's a little light green frog that is sooo soft, it looks so sweet sitting in the bassinet with all the clothes.

We looked around at all the cribs and dressers, I was a little disappointed how Babies r us kept their furniture. Seemed like most of the cribs could've used some tightening up of bolts that were loose, this just turned me off from even considering to buy anything at all. Looking at all the baby stuff we'd have to get made me feel slightly overwhelmed, I had price tags of everything we'd need floating in my head. So we've decided to start buying piece by piece.
Sunday I spent most of my time looking at cribs on the Internet. I haven't found anything that I really loved for the price I want. All the cribs I would love to have are $700 to over a thousand, I really don't see ourselves spending that kind of money on one piece of furniture. I'm sure we'll end up with something plain and simple looking because I can't make up my mind.
Then there's a crib that I'd love to get, but I can't find anywhere. If anyone can find a black spindle four poster bed I will be forever grateful. The picture of the crib advertises the crib bedding only, no info. about the crib:(

I LOVE LOVE that crib. I told Marc that that dark finish always looks great with purple. If I had had a girl, I would have absolutely gotten a dark finish with purple bedding. We got a cherry wood finish peanuts themed bedding. I hope you have a girl, girls are so fancy lol.
